“Don’t let anyone look down on you because of your youth, but set an example in your speech, conduct, love, faith and purity.”
- 1 Timothy 14:12
The youth ministry program, known as “youth group” is open to all high school aged teens grades 9-12.
You are AUTOMATICALLY A MEMBER of the group once become a high school student. There is no official registration that needs to be completed…just show up! Eighth graders are welcome to attend immediately following their 8th grade graduation. They do not have to wait until the beginning of the new school year.
The group meets twice weekly. Teens can come as often as they like or may not be able to attend for awhile due to sports or other activities. Our policy is “Come when you are able!”
Special events, retreats, service opportunities and trips are also held throughout the year.
THE YOUTH CENTER:
We are fortunate to have space dedicated to the youth program for our teenagers to enjoy. Located on the lower level of the school building there are six rooms used by the program.
WEEKLY MEETINGS:
DISCUSSION GROUP: Held Sunday evenings 7:30-9pm. Each week a different topic is discussed.
We meet in Room C, known as the “Discussion Group Room” in the youth center.
OPEN CENTER: Held Wednesday evenings 7:30-9pm. This is more of a social night for our teens to relax and unwind in the middle of their school week. Move between the six rooms of the youth center. Play pool, ping-pong, foosball, a board game, or just hang out and talk with friends.
During the evening we will gather for announcements of upcoming events and hold shared prayer, where each person has the opportunity to pray for whatever their needs may be.
