The grounds of Our Lady of Mount Carmel consist of three different buildings on both sides of Passaic Street.
THE CHURCH:
Three Entrance Choices:
Prospect Street:
These are the front or main doors of the church.
No handicap accessibility at this entrance.
Best Parking Locations: Prospect, Passaic or Hudson Streets, Parking lot at 106 Passaic Street (after 5pm weekdays OR all day on weekends).
Passaic Street:
These doors will lead you into the left transept of the church.
Handicap ramp is located at this entrance.
Best Parking Locations: Rectory Parking Lot, School Parking Lot (after 3pm weekdays, all day on weekends), Passaic Street public parking
Please use this entrance to access the following locations:
Daily Mass Chapel
Parish Center A or B
Large Meeting Room
Small Meeting Room
Parish Library
Music Ministry Room (a.k.a. Choir Room)
Hudson Street:
These doors will lead you into the right transept by the choir section.
No handicap accessibility at this entrance.
Best Parking Locations: Hudson Street public parking, Hudson Street Parking Garage (Free on Sundays)
RECTORY:
The rectory is attached to the back of the church with the entrance located by the Passaic Street entrance of the church.
The following offices are in the rectory:
- Main Office
- All Priests Offices
- Music Minister
- Administrative Offices
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CENTER (a.k.a. Former Convent)
Located at 56 Passaic Street and is directly across the street from the Passaic Street entrance of the church.
The following Ministries are in the Religious Education Building:
- Religious Education for Grades 1 Through 6
- Pastoral Care for Hospitalized & Homebound
- Adult Faith Formation
- Protecting God’s Children
- Meeting Rooms REC1, REC2 and REC3
SCHOOL BUILDING:
Located at 52 Passaic Street and is directly across the street from the Rectory.
The following ministries are in the school building via the front side entrance:
- Jr High Religious Education & Youth Ministry (grades 7 & 8)
- High School Confirmation Program
- High School Youth Ministry Office
- Youth Center
- Parish Meeting Rooms A & B
The following ministries are in the school building via the back entrance doors:
- Neocatechumenal Way Rooms
