EUCHARISTIC ADORATION - The word "adoration" comes from the Latin "adoratio" meaning "To give homage or worship to someone or something. In our case, Adoration is a form of worship and a style of prayer the centers on the Eucharist - the Body of Christ. This form of worship or prayer is done in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

MONSTRANCE - This vessel, usually shaped like a cross with a clear round circle in the middle is used to hold a consecrated host. The monstrance is used many times during Eucharistic Adoration or in a prayer service known as benediction.

PSALMS - The psalms can be found in the Book of Psalms found in the Hebrew Scriptures in the Bible. There are a total of 150 psalms, which are actually words to songs. Most of the psalms are broken down into three major categories: Praise & Thanksgiving, Lament & Petition and Wisdom. 73 of the 150 psalms have a connection to King David, one of the Jewish rulers.

Although the original music that most the psalms were sung to has been lost, many musicians, such as John Michael Talbot, have written music to go with the words of the psalms so we can experience their beauty as intended.

- This creed, also known as the Profession of Faith, forms the basic definition of what Christianity is all about for most Christians. It spells out our understanding of one God in Three Persons as well as the basic beliefs most Christians hold true. It is the most widely used definition for Christianity.

It is called "Nicene" because the creed was first adopted by Church leaders during a Council in the city of Nicaea in 325AD.

The Creed is used by the Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church, Church of the East, the Oriental Orthodox Churches, the Anglican Communion and a great majority of the Protestant denominations.
