Dear Friends,
Because the bulletin for this Sunday, May 5th, had to go in only one day after the bulletin for last Sunday, April 28th, my brain has not been able to think that fast of something I want to say. I’m told that the reason is that the bulletin company is upgrading their printing capabilities.

But I did leave out a big thank you that I should have expressed last week. I want to thank the fifty-five parishioners who volunteered to offer a daily reflection during the Lenten/Holy Week/Easter Week which we have just celebrated. In the past, we used the Little Black Books for those reflections. And, in fact, the Easter version, the Little White Books, have made their way back last Sunday. But this year, the suggestion was made to tap the wealth of our own parishioners during these special days. Each of us who tries to live faith has a special insight into the journey. Each of us who tries to live faith is touched by the Lord of Faith in different ways and each of us can be touched by the shared faith of people we see every week, if not everyday. To know the joys and sorrows, the highs and the lows, the struggles and the successes of living that faith in and with a community of believers can only but encourage all of us to continue walking that same road, with all its twists and turns and its detours as well. Thank you, fifty-five brave souls for sharing your spiritual journey with us.

And thank you to Glen McCall and Peter Denio for shepherding the process through, a process which actually began in the summer of 2018. And thanks to those who assisted in the editing and proof-reading.

I’m not sure if we’ll go that route again next year. If you have any thoughts, let me know.

God Bless,
Fr. Ron
